MoDTP・Molybdenum dithiophosphate
Organic molybdenum, lubrication, friction reduction, antifriction effect, anti-wear, anti-oxidation
MoDTP is stronger and more active than MoDTC, another organic molybdenum-based FM agent, and reacts more firmly on metal surfaces.
It is basically designed for gear oil, but is also recommended for classic engines and competition engine oil due to its low phosphorus content.
Approximate amount to be added: 0.05~0.3% of engine oil, 0.1~0.6% of gear oil
Typical composition: Specific gravity 1g/cm^3, Mo=9wt%, P=3wt%.
